Milan, October 11, 2018 - Politecnico di Milano is among the eleven recipients of Getty Foundation
grants as part of “Keeping It Modern”

, in collaboration with Fondazione Politecnico di Milano
together with Princeton University, Parma University, Assorestauro and Vittorio Garatti’s committee (proponents) will develop a conservation management plan for the National Schools of Art of Havana in Cuba.
The project will include the collection and evaluation of historical documentation, technical studies on materials, tests of technical solutions on small pilot sites, the creation of computer models for flood risk assessment and mitigation, energy and environmental sustainability studies, and the development of a conservation management plan with suggestions for adaptive reuse.
Since its inception in 2014, Keeping It Modern has supported 54 national and international conservation projects that collectively address the importance of research and planning for the preservation of modern architectural heritage.
