University Foundations: Magnani at the helm

May 5, 2016 - Gianantonio Magnani, President of Fondazione Politecnico di Milano, has been recently named President of the Conferenza Nazionale delle Fondazioni Universitarie (Italian National Conference of University Foundations). Magnani takes the place of Prof. Ferdinando Di Orio at the helm of the association founded in 2007, which now represents a large number of qualified and acknowledged realities.

Granted by the Italian law in 2001, after fifteen years, the Ministry of Education now counts on 40 university foundations in the country. They embody well established structures and important elements of continuity between the academia and the business sector, supporting research and teaching. We are proud to say that Fondazione Politecnico, one of the first to “hit the road”, is now a successful case history.
