RT3S- Real Time Simulation for Safer vascular Stenting developed and validated a computerized and probabilistic model capable of evaluating the risk of stent rupture in cases of peripheral vascular angioplasty. The system, based on the numerical simulation of diverse clinical cases personalized based on the patient conditions, is capable of suggesting, within the span of a few seconds, the possible risks of rupture and therefore of being of great utility for physicians before an surgical operation, as it is for engineers working in the biomedical industry. The application is implemented to be used in real time while planning operations so as to provide surgeons information on the risk of stent rupturing.
