ENERGISE - Enlarged Network in Education and Research for a Growing Impact of Sustainable Energy engineering on local development
The objective of the ENERGISE - Enlarged Network in Education and Research for a Growing Impact of Sustainable Energy engineering on local development project is to identify and implement certain Master Degree Courses in engineering, focused on decentralized and distributed energy-systems capable of favouring the local development of universities in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania, improving access to energy and the social-economic development of the countries concerned.
ENERGISE intends to favour the development of the local building capacity to construct high-level market-oriented energy engineering profiles, with a distinct focus on sustainability, innovative technologies, and modern renewable energy sources. The project beneficiaries will be: students of the partner universities, higher education institutions, public institutions, businesses, and society.
ENERGISE's partner are the Politecnico di Milano University, the Jimma University (Ethiopia), the Mombasa Polytechnic University College and Kenya Polytechnic University College (Kenya) and Dar Es Salaam Institute of Technology (Tanzania). The project is funded by the European Commission.
