The Fondazione Politecnico di Milano is a responsive and operational instrument set up by the Politecnico di Milano and by major Founder Members to contribute to economic and cultural growth, in order to favour innovation in business and provide incentives for competitiveness at international level, as well as to drive the creation and dissemination of new knowledge and its transfer to industry and to the tertiary sector. | The Politecnico di Milano is a scientific/technological third level institution that trains engineers, architects and industrial designers. The institution has always put its faith in high-quality, innovative teaching and research, developing a fruitful relationship with economic and industrial sectors through experimental research and technology transfer. Research is increasingly associated with teaching and constitutes a priority commitment that enables the Politecnico di Milano to achieve results that are internationally highly regarded, and to make the marriage of university with business a reality. The research activity also forms a parallel activity to that of cooperation and alliances with the industrial system. Knowing the scenario within which students will be working is an essential requirement for teaching those students. Relating to the needs of production, industry and public administration helps research to explore new terrain and to keep up with the need for constant, rapid innovation. |
