Knowing the needs of the market enables the needs of the economic system to be anticipated. Predicting future changes in terms of areas of competency and professionalism is essential in order to innovate permanent training to cater for technological change, offer study paths designed to eliminate the knowledge gap existing in the market, and create new professional roles that have the level of training required by emergent sectors.
The Fondazione carries out studies and analyses aimed at understanding the evolutionary dynamics of the market, the trends in the demand and supply of personnel, the characteristics of the various different professional roles, and the technical and training requirements expressed by industry. The Fondazione implements qualitative methods and tools to facilitate the mobility of persons and career development. In this regard it has participated, in Italy and internationally, in the development of professional standards and knowledge frameworks, in the implementation of common tools and models for career development, and in the creation of methods for recognition of skills.
The Fondazione conducts these activities, in Italy and internationally, in association with the Politecnico di Milano and with other third-level institutions, with research centres and public bodies, and with associations and private companies. The ultimate goal is to favour the narrowing between demand and supply of professional skills.
