LONG VERSION OF DISCLOSURE ON COOKIES

Cookies are small textual elements (files) that are inserted into the hard disk of a computer only after authorization (as per setting on the browser in use). Cookies have the function of streamlining the analysis of web traffic or to signal when a specific site is visited and allow web applications to send information to individual users. No personal data of Users is acquired by the site on purpose. The use of so-called session or technical cookies is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to allow safe and efficient exploration of the site. As regards third-level sites, there are cookies from Google Analytics or from external bodies (such as ucsc.edu) always used to allow the embed of an app called Genome Browser that allows you to navigate through the genome in a graphical manner.

Instructions to delete or disable cookies from the browser

The majority of browsers accepts cookies automatically, but allows the user to disable them. On many browsers, the help menu will provide information to the user on how to prevent his/her browser from accepting new cookies, on how to set the browser in order to notify the receipt of a new cookie and on how to disable cookies altogether.

If he/she so desires, the user may also disable or cancel cookies that he/she has accepted previously.
