Encore+ (European Network for Catalysing Open Resources in Education) will be present with its workshop on “Creating the Next European OER Ecosystem – Building engagement through OER Community Circles” at the international conference EDEN (European Distance and eLearning Network), 22 to 24 June 2021. The workshop run by Encore+ will be held at the EDEN Virtual Annual Conference on 23 June, 16:00 – 17:30.

The Encore+ project is financed by the “Knowledge Alliances” set up within theEU’s Erasmus+ programme, and its purpose is to stimulate the use of Open Education Resources by developing an ecosystem that can draw on its strategic approach, crossing the boundaries between schools and academia, and establishing new synergies with the world of business, from small companies to large multinationals. Open Educational Resources (OERs) are all teaching, education and research materials that reside in the public domain or have been released under an open licence that permits non-cost access, use, adaptation and redistribution by others with no or limited restrictions. OERs are a priority for Europe and for the entire world, and in 2019 were endorsed by UNESCO  (https://en.unesco.org/themes/building-knowledge-societies/oer).
