6th Congress of the Italian National Bioengineering Group, held at Politecnico di Milano, 25 to 27 June 2018. The congress organised by Politecnico di Milano, the National Bioengineering Group and CNR IEIIT – the National Research Council of Italy, Institute of Electronics, Computer and Telecommunication Engineering, in collaboration with Fondazione Politecnico di Milano.
Over the three-day event, the various speakers presented their own thoughts about a sector with great potential of development in Italy, helped by new discoveries and new technological frontiers. There are many fields of application for this sector, from basic research to creating new companies and startups, with space for traditional research to convert scientific research into clinical applications for hospitals.
