Presentation of the Felder Award

An international call worth one million euros to bring a talented young Italian researcher back to Italy. The initiative was presented at a public event held at Politecnico di Milano.

The event

Fondazione Bracco and Bracco Imaging, in collaboration with Politecnico di Milano and Fondazione Politecnico di Milano, decided to promote a research project in microfluidics for pharmaceutical applications by establishing the Felder Award. The initiative was developed within “progettoDiventerò”, a project developed by Fondazione Bracco to celebrate the great scientist Prof. Ernst Felder (1920-2018) who led the group’s pharmaceutical research, discovering Iopamidol, a non-ionic contrast medium that revolutionised diagnostic imaging worldwide.

The initiative was presented at an event attended by Eduard Felder, son of the great scientist, by Ferruccio Resta, Rector of Politecnico di Milano, Diana Bracco, President of Fondazione Bracco and the Bracco Group, Gianantonio Magnani, President of Fondazione Politecnico di Milano, Gaela Bernini, General Secretary of Fondazione Bracco and Maurizio Masi, Scientific Director for the Ernst Felder Award and Director of the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering “Giulio Natta” at Politecnico di Milano.
