TEINVEIN
A development platform for a fully autonomous vehicle
May 2017
- January 2020
The initiative
TEINVEIN (TEchnology and INnnovation for VEhicle INtelligence) was set up to create a base development platform for a totally autonomous vehicle. The project’s first objective is to reduce environmental impact by introducing onboard mechatronic systems that work with the pilot controls to induce less polluting driving strategies. The second objective is to improve road safety for passengers and pedestrians, by monitoring the driver’s mental and physical conditions and the surrounding area through ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). The third objective is to send information to and from nearby infrastructure and vehicles, as well as adapting driving for disabled drivers with the help of electronic pilot controls and driving aid sensors.
The role of the Foundation
Fondazione Politecnico di Milano is collaborating with the initiative
