Project SI and DIGITA.R.SI call for the future of technical education
An 800 thousand euro funding is being made available to 28 technical schools for their innovative projects where teaching will be combined with digital tools such as robotics, digital games, and virtual and remote laboratories.
These schools take centre stage in DIGITA.R.SI, a call launched with the purpose of updating teaching laboratories in technical schools to increase their innovation and competitiveness, which closed in May 2021. Joining them are three schools with projects belonging to Line 2 of the call, the part concerned with scientific orientation promoted by Fondazione Bracco, which has put up 15 thousand euros.
The call was launched by Fondazione Cariplo with Fondazione Politecnico di Milano as performance partner, in collaboration with Fondazione Bracco, and is the next step in the Project SI – School-Company-Family Interaction. The project was created in 2018 and has helped to upgrade and re-furbish teaching laboratories in 76 technical schools specialising in mechatronics and 17 agricultural technical schools across Lombardy and the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, equipping them with Industry 4.0 technology.
The two initiatives were hosted in Innovation House as part of the education-work event held in blended format in Milan and Dubai. It was the perfect occasion to showcase best practice arising from the call, presenting the innovative projects of the two top placed Lombardy schools, as well as to reward the winning Line 2 schools.
