How to protect an artifact or an industrial product?

IP EXPERIENCE is a training and awareness programme to teach undergraduate and postgraduate students, researchers and start-uppers about intellectual property.

Online event, 11:30 - 13:00

The Event

IP-EXPERIENCE – Intellectual Property EXperiential PrOgram is a project co-financed by the European Union Intellectual Property Office-EUIPO. The programme was designed to teach the basic concepts of Intellectual Property to university students and start-uppers, while impressing on them the importance of respecting IP rights within the sphere of creative and highly technological startups. “How to valorize an invention” is the first event in the cycle of IP-EXPERIENCE workshops.

IP-EXPERIENCE is developed by Fondazione Politecnico di Milano, Politecnico di Milano, PoliHub and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

The event will be held in live streaming on Microsoft Teams platform and runs in English.

The program

This workshop aims to go deeper into the Intellectual Property Rights issues and challenging attendees on their knowledge and perception of how Intellectual Property rights practically work to protect an artifact or industrial product. Through a simulation approach based on real case studies, participants will be engaged and face questions similar to the above. Giving participants a real industrial product, participants will be supported to focus their attention on the fundamental aspects of protection and experiment on how IP Rights work in the real world. The interactive workshop is the first of a two-events cycle promoted by the IP Experience project and planned in autumn 2020.

The agenda will be soon available. For more information on IP EXPERIENCE, go to
