The workshop on “Health, Women and Screening” appraised the cultural and healthcare situation on primary and secondary prevention of breast cancer, engendering open debate among clinicians, institutes and the general public, with the involvement of major operators in the panorama of cancer prevention together with an influencer, to appeal to a young and very young audience, who were the target of the event.

The event was held within Fast Breast Check, a project with the ambitious purpose of developing innovative technologies for early breast cancer diagnosis, combining functional information gathered through optical, morphological and ultrasound technologies using the innovative DeHCA Light & Sound system. The initiative was financed by Regione Lombardia (European Regional Development Fund 2014-2020), with the joint work of the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering “Giulio Natta” and that of Management Engineering, both at Politecnico di Milano, in collaboration with the Foundation, the biomedical company Sincronis and the emerging startup Veespo.
